'Georgia's Wisteria'
Acrylic on Canvas Panel, 11 x 14"

This is a familiar view for me since it is in my own garden looking toward our vineyard and hills in the distance. I love the fragrance and colour my wisteria provides every Summer. Each year it grows bigger and creates more shade for my verandah. My intention was to capture the freshness of this clear day and the colour of the green grass with the longer cast shadows of that time of day.

'Heading Home'
Acrylic on Stretched Canvas, 40 x 30"

My favourite time of day is at dusk when the sun starts its descent down from the sky, casting a wonderful luminous glow on everything in its path. I often wait until this time of day to get the mail, specifically so I can view the sun through the trees on our road. I love painting subjects with atmosphere and mood to express how I feel and hope to make the viewer also feel my joy.

'Blue Mountains, Balzer Point Lookout'
Acrylic on Cradled Birch Panel, 27.5 x 25.5"

I spent a few days in the Blue Mountains searching for new vistas and soaking up the glorious atmospheric conditions in this Heritage Listed landscape. It is impossible to not be inspired to paint when surrounded by so much beauty. The good news is that wherever I go I am able to find something beautiful to paint, whether it is natural beauty or just seeing something ordinary with new eyes. There is never any shortage of subjects to inspire!

'The Reflecting Pond'
Acrylic on Stretched Canvas, 12 x 12"

I came across this landscape near my home when I was walking in the National Park. The reflection on the still water was remarkable as it mirrored the cobalt blue of the sky. Sometimes there are views that stop me in my tracks and my brain tells me, 'You must paint this!' This was one of those days and I really wanted to capture the serenity and peacefulness of this intimate part of the landscape.
